Sketches: Messed up face and Swan in Water!
Well, I'll start off with the messed up face. Yes, the eye is completely off and her nose is ridiculously small. But as I said, I'm no pro at drawing! The most interesting part about drawing this is that I actually drew something else under it, and the drawing you're looking at now is actually the makeover I did on the original one.
So I was bored one day and I drew some creepy Slenderman face and decided it was too creepy and ugly and decided to turn it into a girl. Then I changed the eyes and put eyelashes. Then I made a nicer mouth. After all of the adjustments, this came out.
About the face, well it wasn't necessarily supposed to be a realistic and I intended to look sort of odd at some degree, but it also wasn't supposed to look abstract (my friend said it did XD). So yes, I know that the nose looks completely unrealistic, the eyes and uneven and the mouth is disturbingly wide but whatever.

Here is the Swan in Water. I mostly focused on the water since having a really lame setting (especially when there is water in it) can affect your drawing badly. The wings are pretty lame and this was more of a 20 minute drawing. I didn't spend half as much time on this as I did with the one above.
Now that I think of it, why did I give the swan eyelashes? o_O

I like the swan more! it looks happy and free ... :D
ReplyDeleteI think the swan is beautiful but less unique. The face on the other hand, is quite artsy. Love them both ♥
ReplyDeleteI love both, you're very talented - I will share your blog because I'm a proud auntie like that! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with weird? I love the girl's face -- it's full of expression and detail. No way your drawings could be described as "abstract" I especially love her hair -- you can almost see each strand! Who needs realism in art when everybody has a camera on his phone? Bravo, Mai -- Kisses!!
ReplyDeleteUm... ahh, I have know idea. I think both are cool!
ReplyDeleteLovely drawings I like the girl she makes me laugh... Very nice blog
