Our Top Voted artist for this week! Actually, last week, but I had to delay it. I apologize! Well, it's M.C. Escher! Hope you enjoy this list of Fun Facts about M.C. Escher! (The only artist that got votes, haha!)
M.C. Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher, also well known as M.C. Escher was a Dutch Graphic Artist born in 1898. He travelled around places in Europe and it was these places that inspired his mind-blowing artwork. Escher drew realistic art, sketches, woodcuts, and lithography, which is a form of printing.

He made 448 lithographs and woodcuts and over 2000 sketches and drawings!
Interesting Facts
- M.C. Escher was born in Leeuwarden, Holland
- M.C. Escher did not perform very well at school and had to redo both Primary and Secondary school
- The fact before did not apply to his art skills
- A lot of his artwork was inspired by the mathematical designs of a Moorish palace by the name of Alhambra, which is located in Granada, Spain
- He lived 'till the age of 73
- Many of his masterpieces are based on mathematical, geometric designs, symmetry, illusion and the concept of infinity

MC Escher has always been one of my favorites, ever since I started enjoying art. His art is just so cool and spectacular.
